Kristoffer To

Born in Hong Kong, Kristoffer To, moved to England in 2004. He graduated from the University of York in 2012, and is currently studying for an MA in Composition, supervised by Dr Thomas Simaku. Primarily a composer, he has worked with notable performers in the field including the Kreutzer Quartet, the Berkeley Ensemble, Quatuor Diotima, and OPUS 3 piano trio. He had studied composition with Michael Berkeley and Sally Beamish.

As a pianist, Kristoffer has given solo recitals in York, Birmingham, Uppingham, and Truro. He plays a large repertoire in which contemporary works have always had an important place. His main specialisations are Ligeti, Unsuk Chin and Lachenmann. Kristoffer now studies the piano with Andrew Ball in London
